IRINS reports that India and Iran have discussed Teheran's controversial nuclear programme and the status of a proposed trilateral gas pipeline through Pakistan.Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki also agreed to expand economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, bound by centuries-old civilisational ties, and discuss the possibilities of closer cooperation in the field of energy, officials said.
The two leaders also discussed the political situation in Iraq and Afghanistan.
