Bilateral Relations: Iraq's President heads to Iran

Reports from Baghdad say President Jalal Talabani has accepted an invitation to attend talks this weekend in the Iranian capital Tehran, to discuss the current situation in Iraq. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is also expected to attend the three-way summit.

Deutsche Welle reports that a spokesman for Talabani said the talks were called to discuss the security situation in the country and the repercussions for stability of the region.
