The obnoxious little hypocrite Bono, is in town and expressed his desire to meet John Howard so that he can give him instructions on how to run our own country. A bit like US Ambassadors in a way, but with nicer sunglasses.
Bono laid down a list of conditions he expected the Prime Minister to agree to before meeting him, prompting the Prime Minister to gladden the hearts of many -
"I don't accept preconditions from anybody. I don't commit in advance to businessmen in this country and I certainly don't do it to - much in all he's high-grade - Irish entertainers."
