Tonight's photo: Cricket in the park
Only half a blog today as time-management went was over-timed and under-managed.
However, I did manage to accommodate my late afternoon walk, (I wonder if this fad will last longer than the "breakfast-in-the-morning one"!) and catch a local game of cricket.
Sitting on a bench on a peaceful, late Saturday afternoon gave me plenty of opportunity to try out my hand at "sports photography." I don't think I will get a press pass for Sydney Cricket Ground, but I did have fun playing with the zoom lens and shutter speeds.
In the paragraph above, I mentioned "peaceful" a description that is not entirely accurate. I walked further along the huge park and headed to the Lane Cove River. As I got closer, the sound of dance-music grew louder until it was almost deafening.
Who the hell would sit in a large peaceful park with a bloody ghetto blaster going full volume disturbing familles, young couples and anyone else who had headed there for a peaceful afternoon.
Of course, these bare chested working class heroes were tanked up to the eyeballs, but I guess they deserved a break after a hard week using their workplace to organise their family, personal and social activities. After all, that's what Australian workplaces are for - as long you are in a union.
Wherever you may be - be safe
