Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit has urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility to protect the Palestinian people.Abul Gheit told members of a visiting international committee entrusted with probing Israel's violations in the Palestinian territories that the international community should make efforts to stop Israel's violations against the Palestinians.
He pointed to Israel's recent attack on Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza as an example of failure to adhere to international laws and norms.
