Media: Sudan closes Eritrean opposition radio station

SomaliNet reports that Sudanese Authorities have closed an Eritrean opposition radio station which had been broadcasting from Khartoum.

The Khartoum based al-Sahafa said a source close to the Eritrean opposition claimed the closure was successful due to closer ties between Khartoum and Asmara.

The station began broadcasting a year ago from Khartoum and Khashm al-Girbah in eastern Sudan, with its programmes directed against President Isayas Afewerki's regime.
