Security: ArmorGroup wins $30 million contract to provide security services to the UK Government in Afghanistan

ArmorGroup International PLC has announced it has won a contract to provide security services to the UK Government in Afghanistan worth $30 million per year. The contract is for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.

The contract is due to start on Jan 1 2007 and will not have any impact on this year's revenues or profits.

The company website states ArmorGroup has over 9,000 employees and long term operations in 38 countries. Over the past two years it has supported its clients in over 160 countries across the Middle East, Africa, North and South America, the CIS and central Asia. ArmorGroup provides its services through three core divisions: Protective Security Services, Security Training Services and Weapons Reduction and Mine Action Services.
