The Director General of the Road and Transportation Bureau of the Khouzestan province of Iran, has announced the implementation of the 170 kilometre Shalamcheh-Hendijan coastal highway connecting Iran to Iraq.According to a Jam-e-Jam reporter, "the axis will create a safe path on the southern coast of Khouzestan located in the western north of Persian Gulf."
