Keralanext.com report that in a move to tackle the high rate of divorce in the Kingdom, the Al Shaqaiq Society in Jeddah has launched a programme to prepare young girls for marriage.
The programme provides them with understanding about the religious meaning and basic rules of marriage, teaches them about the relationship between the Prophet Muhammad and his wives.
Young brides-to-be are also taught basic skills and arts that help them when they are married such as cooking, tips on laundry and ironing, interior decorating, exercising, hairdressing and cosmetics.
