Defense: Finland's PM not interested in NATO

Finland's Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, was quoted by a syndicate of central Finland newspapers, that Finland had no need to seek full membership in Nato as the Nordic country's security situation was continually improving.

He added that as a member of the military alliance Finland would be expected to send troops to crisis hotspots, sparking political strife and anguish amid the people.
