Goodnight from Sydney

Tonight's photo: "Late Afternoon By Burns Bay"

I took this photograph late yesterday afternoon during my now-daily walk. It's hard to imagine looking at the photograph that I was standing just a few yards away from one of the busiest roads in Sydney - especially at peak-hour.

Just a few steps - that's all it takes to be in a different world.

Once in the reserve you do not hear the traffic, you only hear the sounds of the birds - especially the cockatoos and lorikeets.

People are different too - they walk past and smile and say "Hello..lovely day isn't it".

Just a few steps to peace and tranquillity. A few steps back, and welcome to the world of the quick or the dead

The building by the way is St Ignatius' College Riverview, a Catholic school for day boys and boarders from Years 5-12. It was established by the Jesuits at Lane Cove in Sydney in 1880

Till tomorrow...

Wherever you may be - be safe

PS: Can anyone tell me how to make the border around the photo black? I can do it with a website, but I'm buggered if I can do it on a blog! Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.
