Bilateral Relations: Ethiopia explains its position to Yemen

It's reported that Ethiopian Prime Minister Males Zenawi, has sent a written message about political developments in Somalia to Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Sallah.

Zenawi told president Sallah that Ethiopian troops would leave Somalia in three phases. He said the best option would be that the last Ethiopian solider would depart from Somalia when the expected African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) arrive in the country.

He added that his government was not obliged to keep the Ethiopian troops in Somalia in wait for the arrival of replacement troops.
