Goodnight from Sydney

Tonight's photo: At the risk of being inundated with complaints from femininists, I call this one, "And another thing - you didn't repair that hole in the nest like I asked you to did you"

Over the next few nights I will be posting a few pictures of birds - the result of a very kind comment by Otilus, whose New York Nitty Gritty blog, is one of the best photoblogs I have come across.

I saw these two cockatoos high in a tree during my late afternoon walk, and after fending of a little girl who looked at me and asked, "what are you looking at up there mister?" decided to take a few photographs.

It was a little difficult because the little bugg...I mean darling, was now sitting on the edge of the bay, blowing bubbles with a bubble machine. Every time a good shot seemed likely to appear, a bubble would float by in front of the lens. Bloody kids, why do they have to play in parks and reserves - don't they know that's what supermarket aisles are for!

If you click on the larger version and take a look at the expressions of the two cockies, maybe you will see how I came up with the title:)

Wherever you may be - be safe!
