Tonight's photo: Late afternoon on the Lane Cove River.
To the left of where I stood to take this photo, you can see all the way to Sydney; to the right - you are almost blinded by the setting sun turning the river into a mirror of shimmering silver.
Although this photo was taken some days ago, the principal still applies. What a beautiful way to put the dramas and frustrations of the day into perspective - and out of your mind. Sitting on a rock overlooking the river that runs into Sydney Harbour - you beauty!
When I first discovered this route, it seemed like an all day trek along variable terrain. Now that my walks have become more regular and longer, at a push, I can walk there in about 25-30 minutes.
The one problem is - the walk back is all uphill! Story of my life:)
Wherever you may be - be safe!
