Sydney's Channel Seven, had a report tonight on the increasing violence in New Orleans. Much of the story has been covered by US media, but Channel Seven also had their own film crew in the city.Media reports claim New Orleans is spiralling out of control with 14 murders since New Year's Day - which means in the past week, more Americans have been killed in New Orleans than in Iraq.
The news report ended with this observation -
"The city of New Orleans is crying out for help. But just like two years ago, America has failed to respond and once again they are left to fend for themselves".
