Zimbabwe’s 180,000 civil servants have demanded a 400-per-cent pay increase to cushion them from a worsening economic crisis, according to state media.
The Apex Council, which represents civil servants, expects to conclude wage talks with the authorities by Friday, the state- controlled Sunday Mail said.
"Members are agitated. If we don’t come to an agreement, members will decide on the course of action to take," council official Tendai Chikowore said.
