Security: Denmark's radical Muslim cleric is buried

Palestinian imam Abu Laban, Denmark's controversial Islamic cleric, accused of fuelling a row over Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), was buried yesterday.

Ahmed Abu Laban, 60, whose death was announced on Thursday, headed the Danish Islamic Community, considered by Danes as one of the most radical Muslim associations in the country.

Abu Laban was considered by Danish media and politicians as a possible instigator of last year's controversy over the Jyllands-Posten newspaper's publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet (PBUH).
