Economy.: Consumer prices in Venezuela soar 20.4 per cent

Venezuela's annual inflation rate rose to its highest rate since 2004 last month.

The country's central bank said on its website that shortages of food, construction materials and medicines pushed consumer prices up 20.4 percent in the 12 months through February from 18.4 percent in January.
