Fifteen Point Guide to Bush's America

Not long ago I posted a "Ten Point Guide To Women" that resulted in half my female audience telling me I was an old fashioned, sexist, patronising old fart. I have never been sexist or patronising and to prove it I advised them to have a nice cup of tea, buy a pretty little frock and have their hair done to cheer them up. - making sure of course that they OK it with their better halves first.

Today I bring you "Mike's Fifteen Point Guide To Bush's America".

1. Turning a once mighty nation in to the laughing stock of the world - Mission Accomplished.

2. Causing the rest of the world to coin the phrases, "United States of Hypocrisy" and "United States of Incompetency" - Mission Accomplished.

3. Tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis killed by US military - Mission Accomplished.

4. Causing the deaths of over three-and-a-half thousand military personnel, the majority of which were Americans - Mission Accomplished.

5. Ruining the lives of tens of thousands of families worldwide whose loved ones were involved in an invasion based on lies - an invasion that has benefited no one except those who sent them - Mission Accomplished.

6. Turning a country that posed no danger in to a living hell where people are afraid to go shopping - Mission Accomplished

7. Increasing terrorist activity - Mission Accomplished.

8. Bringing al-Qaeda in to Iraq - Mission Accomplished.

9. Causing the rest of the world to groan every time they hear ,"9/11" because the number of Iraqis killed in the last four years springs to mind, diminishing the initial global sympathy and support - Mission Accomplished.

10. Turning the world in to a place where people are openly saying they are afraid to bring children in to the world - Mission Accomplished.

11. Bringing the same to fear to Americans that the British felt during the American financed and supported IRA bombing campaigns - Mission Accomplished.

12. When thirty-three people are killed in a shooting spree in America, people overseas say, "That's less than are killed in Baghdad every day" - Mission Accomplished.

13. Causing many Americans to deny they are American - Mission Accomplished.

14. Bringing about a situation where potential clients contact me and tell me "I better tell you I am American" or "I am former US military" in case it makes a difference - Mission Accomplished.

15. Turning Bush's America in to an America that is no longer the country that in the past has done so much for so many - Mission Accomplished.

Fifteen down - eight hundred and fifty six to go.

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No angel born in hell
Could break that satans spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw satan laughing with delight
