OK, I know that in a response to the previous post, I wasn't going to make a "Goodnight From Sydney" post, but I will leave you with one last thought regarding Team McCann.
Back in July 2005, I made the following post to this blog -
"Zhaopin.com, a leading Chinese human resources website, reports the average salary for PR employees increased 11 per cent year-on-year over the first six months of 2005.
At a time when large corporations in China such as KFC, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Colgate-Palmolive, Haagen-Dazs, and Bright Dairy faced major PR problems, the reason for the sharp increase is best summed up by Liu Xiping - managing director of the Beijing office of Weber Shandwick.
"We cannot change what has happened in the crises, but we can change how people view them."
That is exactly what Team McCann is trying to do - and failing badly.
Wherever you may be - be safe
