Not all news is big news

I have been clearing up some of my news databases and police press releases. It made me realise that not all the news I receive has a huge impact on the world at large. Take this one for example, received in June from Des Moines Police.

3900 block of 68th Street, June 14 - Ten geraniums were reportedly dug up overnight from a front yard.

4200 block of 161st Street, June 14 - A caller reported at just after 11:10 p.m. that two cars parked on the street were wrapped in Saran wrap and had paper towel rolls stuffed up their exhaust pipes.

7100 block of Douglas Avenue, June 18 - Eight trash cans were reportedly thrown into the street.

I am afraid I have no news on the whereabouts of the geraniums, but if you would like to contribute to a fund independently administered by my relatives, I will make sure I leave no pot unturned.

Personally, I can think of nothing worse than having a paper towel roll stuffed up ones exhaust pipe. On the other hand though - Gerry, can you spare a minute?

Off for a short break. Meanwhile, the photoblog has been updated and is available for you to leave comments such as "Mike, you are the new David Bailey" especially if you happen to be Christine Keeler.

I bet you are wondering why I receive press releases from Des Moines police. So am I! I know I needed them a year or so or go, but dammed if I can recall why!
