The Buenos Aires Herald reports supermarket owners have agreed to extend their price agreement with the government until Decmber 10. The agreement was reached at a meeting in Government House attended by President Nestor Kirchner, Economy Minister Miguel Peirano and Domestic Trade Secretary Guillermo Moreno, together with the representatives of the main supermarket chains.
In line with the original agreement supermarket owners said that they would stick to current retail prices as long as wholesale prices remained stable.
