Some days are diamonds, some days are "expletives deleted"

It is 5:30 pm, and it has taken me since 9am to download all emails and open Blogger! Everything is dreadfully slow and I can even walk away and make a cup of coffee while pages load, (in fact the 'Post Create' page of Blogger took 15 minutes to open). In other words, my ISP is playing silly beggars - something I discovered after listening for 40 minutes to recorded messages telling me how marvellous the ISP is. To make matters worse, every time the email downloads - it downloads the same emails I have already received!

There is nothing sinister going on and I have not been nobbled:) I just happen to live in a country where Internet connection has been hampered by over-regulation and limited governmental-technoawareness. No, it is not a real word, but I am a business consultant and part of my job is to make up new words that sound good when talking on mobile phones in buses.

Actually, since all this started I have made up many new words that would have sounded good in an old Tiger Bay pub. And yes - I have!

Hopefully this problem will soon be resolved!

Every time someone posts a response I am notified by email. When I finally managed to download and open emails, I was overwhelmed by the responses to last night's post The Grubs: The transformation of St Gerry

There were so many excellent responses, I dearly hope I can manage to respond to as many as possible - because they deserve it!Many thanks to all of you - together we may well make a difference.
