Today

I was intending to take a day off from posting today, but the now infamous photo of the McCanns changed my mind. I am not sure if I will post again today, I would like a little break, answer a backlog of emails and try to answer responses (63 came in overnight!).

I try to reply to emails within 24 hours, but with one thing or another, this has now become 36-48 hours.So many of the emails have been so touching, I have read them again and again and many thoughts come in to my mind when I sit down to respond. If you haven't received a response from me yet, you will!

Many readers have commented on my sense of humour. Today, that has been crushed by something as simple as a photograph.

I hate to steal quotations from Australian politicians - but the words of former Australian Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam spring to mind.

Well may we say God Save The Queen, for nothing will save the McCanns.
