Kate, one never knows what life has in store does one.
Just imagine; one day you are sitting in a Tapas bar without a care in the world, laughing away as the little three year old you left in charge of younger siblings faced her fete alone - the next the unthinkable happens - you are treated like a resident of a council estate.
Life's a bitch ain't it Kate. The first is bad enough - but having to endure the other could well affect your membership of the local golf, tennis or mutual protection club.
And just to add insult to injury, earlier today your photo was prominently displayed on the front page of The Sydney Morning Herald - above an unrelated headline, "Dr Death sounds warning to surgeons". Good job Australians aren't known for sarcasm isn't it!
I notice you are yet again being painted as a victim Kate. Sit down and have a cuppa while I go through an article in the Telegraph with you. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.
"Today the McCanns put a brave face on their nerve-wracking ordeal."
I wonder if little Madeleine - 36 years younger than you and not trained to cope with stress - was able to put a brave face on her nerve-wracking ordeal.
A family friend said, "This has been their worst week since Madeleine vanished, and we’re not through it yet."
I am puzzled. Team McCann went to great lengths to emphasise that you were being questioned only as a witness - yet this led to you having your worst week since you abandoned Madeleine.
If my child had gone missing, every damn week that his/her whereabouts went unknown would be the worst week.
"They have been very nervous about this all week"
A little like being left alone in a strange place every night of the week. Were you scared Kate? Did you cry "Daddy, daddy" like your little girl did one night? How did it feel to be all alone with only a high priced lawyer to protect you?
May I quote Justine McGuinness? - the PR guru who has had the same effect on your campaign as Hurricane Larry had on Australian banana crops.
"They clearly want to make sure they are as helpful as possible to the police and see this as a step forward in the investigation."
If we look at the above statement in conjunction with the statement by your friend, that means that being willing to be as helpful as possible to enable a step forward in the investigation, has led to your worst week since Madeleine went missing!
"The couple is looking into whether the fighting fund to help find Madeleine will be able to pay for his legal advice."
I am sure all the hard-up, emotionally blackmailed that Team McCann badgered in to giving money to looking for a missing child, will be delighted at the way you intend the fund to be used.
At least your friend had one thing right...
You are not through it yet.
