Aerospace: Argentine-Italian satellite launched

Argentine officials have announced that a joint Italian-Argentine satellite for emergency management, has been launched from a launch site in the United States.
The Cosmo/SkyMed II, the second of six satellites composing the Italian-Argentine Satellite System for Emergency Management (Siasge), was launched from Venderberg Air Force Base in California.

Siasge is a cooperation project between Argentina and Italy through their respective space agencies, the National Commission on Space Activities of Argentina and Italy's ASI.
