Bilateral Relations: Iraq's FM praises Syria

During his visit to Syria, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari praised Syria's support to Iraq's security and stability and its aid to the Iraqi refugees.

The official SANA news agency reported, Zebari made the remarks while meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri during which they discussed "cooperation between the two brotherly countries and peoples and means of boosting it in the interests of both states."

The two sides affirmed the importance to improve work of the Syrian-Iraqi Higher Committee and activate bilateral agreements, which constitute a base to enhance bilateral cooperation in energy, oil and gas fields as well as increase trade and economic exchanges.
