Bilateral Relations: Syria and Jordan sign accords and agree on Palestine

Jordan's Prime Minister Nader Dahabi and his Syrian counterpart Mohammad Naji Atri, have stressed the centrality of the Palestinian issue and underlined the need to establish just and comprehensive peace in the region which guarantees the establishment of a Palestinian independent state and restoration of all occupied Syrian and Lebanese territories according to international legitimacy.

During a joint press conference after the signing 12 joint cooperation agreements, the two premiers emphasized both sides' keenness and importance of the agreements and cooperation protocols reached at the conclusion of the joint Higher Committee meeting to further ties of cooperation between Jordan and Syria.

The agreements and executive programs that have been signed are aimed at increasing opportunities for cooperation in all fields such as industry, agriculture, water and irrigation and transport.
