A continental highway linking Sudan and Ethiopia has been inaugurated by Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir and Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi in eastern Sudan.
The ceremony was held at Doka town in Gadarif State in eastern Sudan attended by local citizens as well as people from the neighbouring Ethiopia, the official SUNA news agency reported.
In his address at the ceremony, the Sudanese president noted that the 156 km-long highway extending from Doka to the Ethiopian town of Matama would further boost the social relations between the two countries.
