Terrorism: Iran behind 1990s bombing of Jewish sites in Argentina

Speaking at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism of the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, Argentina's chief prosecutor, Alberto Nisman, claimed Iran was behind the 1992 bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, and the 1994 attack on a community centre.

Nisman who served as a special prosecutor investigating the attacks said he had no doubt that former Iranian president Hashemi Rafsanjani and his chief of intelligence, Ali Falahian were key players in the decision to target the community centre.

Last month a special Interpol conference approved the issue of an international arrest warrant for Rafsanjani, Falahian and a number of Iranian diplomats for their suspected role in the attack.
