North Korea has closed the doors of its Australian Embassy. Financial issues have been cited for the closure, but it appears that life was quite lonely for North Korea's diplomats.
Senior diplomat, Pak Myong-guk, told The Weekend Australian, "We have no friends," adding that despite being in the same street as the embassies of Iran, Iraq and Libya, he and his small team of envoys lived an isolated life in the nation's capital.
Canberra sources believe the embassy was axed because it could not pay for itself through the proceeds of smuggling and racketeering.
