Bilateral trade: UAE important to the Netherlands

Dutch Consul General Kees van Spronsen has said that trade between the Netherlands and the UAE reached 1.3 billion euros in 2007, which he described as, "a very good mirror of the economic activities between the two countries".

Forty per cent of the Netherlands global activities are in the UAE, specifically Dubai. There are 380 companies in the UAE - all but 30 in Dubai.
