Bilateral Cooperation: Germany and China eager to promote use of renewable energy

China and Germany are keen to expand cooperation to promote the use of renewable energy.

Speaking at an energy forum, Wu Guihui, deputy director of the energy bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission, said the two large energy consumers should expand cooperation to promote the use of renewable energy and achieve more sustainable development.

German Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel said "China is improving energy efficiency and using more renewable energy sources, and thus playing an important role in combating global warming" adding that the two nations can expand cooperation in environmental technology.
