Bilateral Cooperation: Germany and Yemen to boost anti-terrorism cooperation

Germany and Yemen are to boost cooperation in the war against terror.

Following talks with Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh, in Berlin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that cooperation will be "much closer" in this sphere.

Earlier in the day Saleh met with Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung and is due to meet with his German counterpart Horst Koehler on Thursday.

Germany gives strong financial support to Yemen and has pledged around 943 million euros in development aid over the past 11 years.
