Russian gas giant Gazprom is expected to invest around $300 million on exploration in Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyz prime minister Igor Chudinov said a Gazprom delegation would arrive in Bishkek on February 24 and is expected to be granted a license for gas deposits in southern Kyrgyzstan.
He noted the country’s annual production could eventually be raised to about 300 million cubic meters of natural gas from the current 30 million c.m.
