The World Bank has renewed its commitment to Liberia.
During talks with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, visiting World Bank Chairman Robert Zoellick, the two parties discussed the need for faster implementation of programmes being undertaken by the bank in the country to produce the desired impact.
According to a statement they also called for the mobilisation of more donor support for the country’s Infrastructure Fund, intended to mobilise resources for the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, electricity and the country’s ports.
