Bilateral Relations: Greece and Cyprus to boost economic and trade ties

Greece and Cyprus agreed to further strengthen their economic and trade ties.

Following his meeting with visiting Cyprus Finance Minister Charilaos Stavrakis, the Greek Economy and Finance Minister George Alogoskoufis said: "We have many common points, and both economies are founded on extroversion" .

He added that the prospects for expanding relations with countries within the framework of southeastern Europe would be examined.

In reply, Stavrakis said that the commercial and economic ties between the two countries were very strong and both countries have comparative advantages.
