President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has submitted a bill on preferential trade between Iran and Syria to the parliament to set off the legislation process for its ratification into a law.
While submitting the bill, the president pointed to the importance of trade in improving the economies of countries.
The bill seeks to prepare the ground for enacting law for commercial activities between the two governments, to establish suitable capacities in bilateral economic ties and to improve relations between the two states.
The bill was signed by President Ahmadinejad on April 5.
