EURO 2008: Czech police to help Swiss keep order

Czech police will help Swiss security agencies during the Czech team's EURO 2008 matches. The plan was announced under a Czech-Swiss declaration signed by Czech Interior Minister Ivan Langer on Thursday. The declaration said Czech police will accompany Czech fans travelling to Switzerland, where the Czech team will play all their matches

"It is a political declaration. A similar one was signed with the German Interior Minister before EURO 2006," according to a statement from the Interior Ministry.

Similar measures will be taken in Austria where the Czech national team will be based during the tournament.
