Georgia: Georgia expresses concern over Russia's warning

Georgia has expressed concern over statements made by Russian Chief of the General Staff Yury Baluyevsky stating that Russia will strengthen security on its borders if Georgia and Ukraine join NATO.

Georgian Foreign Minister David Bakradze said: "It is very alarming when such terms and signs are being used in statements by the military chief against a neighboring state".

"Such statements contain a military threat against Georgia and Ukraine, which once again proves why these nations want to join NATO".
