Bilateral Relations: Estonian PM hopes Russia's new leadership will improve relations

Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip has said he hopes relations between Estonia and Russia would be improved now that Dmitry Medvedev has assumed the Russian presidency.

Speaking at a press conference, Ansip said the replacement of leaders can often bring new foreign policies for a country.

He added that Russia's relations with the West and the Baltic countries should be better than at present and that economic ties between Estonia and Russia should not be influenced by political relations.
