Madeleine McCann: Sauce, geese and ganders

Metodo 3.
Private detective agency hired by the McCanns to find Madeleine.

Clarence sees nothing wrong with hiring Metodo 3
Kate sees nothing wrong in hiring Metodo 3
Gerry sees nothing wrong in hiring Metodo 3
Team McCann believe they have every right to hire detectives to investigate the affair.
In other words - they have set a precedent.

Setting a precedent means that others can and potentially will follow.
But not necessarily on their side.
Perhaps a rich businessman
Someone winning the Lotto or Lottery
Someone investing in and disposing of assets.
Who knows.
Things do happen.

People grow tired
People realise others can do what they can't.
They realise others have resources that the ordinary person in the street does not
Others have specialised skills.
It is not admitting defeat
It's getting the right result by using the right tools.
No matter how.
It's the result that matters.

Do you like Elton John?
I like him
Ever since I was a kid in school.
I remember buying Tumbleweed Connection form Spillers in Cardiff.
Good songs
Good lyrics
Still remember them -
Very atmospheric
I was 14 at the time
Yet I can still remember the opening lines from the opening track.
I had to ask me dad what one of the words meant
He told me
Odd to think they are still around
All over the world.
Even in Australia.

Of course I also remember Norman Wisdom singing "Fool Such As I"
But to borrow from Freddy And The Dreamers
"If you got to make a fool of somebody..."
I guess you might as well make a fool of yourself.
And who knows - you may end up not doing so.
One never knows till one tries.
Gotta be in it to win it.

Right, time to relax.
I like my apartment
Nice place, nice suburb nice people
Wouldn't move for quids
As long as I can pay the rent
Why move?

I can walk everywhere
Don't even need a car
Just as well considering I can't drive
Even if I had lessons
The way the system works here by the time I have gone through the whole rigmarole
I would be too old to drive anyway.
I was never interested in cars.

Actually, apart from a nice bottle of malt whisky now and then
Can't think of too much I would want.
Neither could my mother
We talked about it.
What if we came into a fortune
I have a good stereo
A good camera
You can't smoke if you go out for a fancy meal
So that can be ruled out.

Beautiful women?
The way things have gone the last year
Money would just mean meeting a better class of nutter!

Just enough for the needs
And a little bit extra.
That's all

Metodo 3?
Not someone I would choose
There are far better.

I'm not good - I'm damn good
That's why people who now condemn
Hid behind me because I had the guts to speak out
They didn't.
I still have
And they still don't.
