Nuclear Issues: Fire at Spanish nuclear plant

A nuclear power plant in the north-eastern Spanish province of Tarragona caught fire yesterday but authorities say there were no casualties or environmental damage.

Spain's Nuclear Security Counsel said the blaze began at 8:49 a.m. local time (0649 GMT) in the Vandellos plant and was extinguished at 10:30 a.m. (0830 GMT) by the plant's fire-fighters..
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
