South Ossetia: Ukraine to deny access to Russian warships

Ukraine has warned it will deny the Russian Black Sea Fleet access to its bases in Ukraine unless Russia stops war in Georgia.

"Ukraine reserves its right to bar (the Russian Black Sea Fleet) warships and vessels which could take part in the action (conflict with Georgia) from their Sevastopol base in Ukraine," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued in its capital city of Kiev.

Ukraine has expressed unequivocal support to its close alley Georgia in the ongoing bloody conflict with Russia in South Ossetia.
Earlier Russia claimed its warships had arrived at Georgia's Black Sea coast.
