Bilateral Relations: Cyprus to develop closer ties with Cuba

Cypriot Foreign Minister Markos Kipryanou has said during a visit to Cuba, that the country wishes to widen economic exchanges with Havana.

He told the press that Cyprus wants to reinforce economic ties with Cuba and he will discuss with his Cuban counterpart Felipe Perez Roque ways to achieve that.

Cyprus is among the countries that call for the lifting of U.S. sanctions against Cuba.
