EU: Croatia's EU bid gets support from Visegrad Four

The presidents of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia on Friday jointly voiced support for Croatia's bid to seek EU membership.

"We all support (EU's) further enlargement," Czech President Vaclav Klaus said at a summit of the Visegrad Four (V4) in Piestany, west Slovakia, adding that Croatia should be the next state to join the EU.

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader recently said he believed his country would be prepared to become a EU member within a year.
