About 100 prisoners from Buthidaung jail were made to work in a Physic nut plantation near the 3-mile camp on Maungdaw-Buthidaun road on September 30.

The programme was led by Nasaka, Burma's border security force from 3-mile camp. The Physic nut plantation is around 2.67 acres, according to a close aide of Nasaka.

The prisoners had to put manure, clean the grass and fence off the field.

The prisoners had to stay the night of September 30 in the plantation where there are three temporary huts for workers and returned to the jail on October 1.

These prisoners will be released within a short time. The government calls them "white civilians". The authorities will arrange for some jobs which would help the country before they are released, said an officer in the jail.
