Dubai-based real estate developer Nakheel has announced it will build a one-kilometer-high tower in the commercial and financial hub of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Emirates News Agency reported.The tower is part of Nakheel's new community project named "Harbor & Tower" which will include the world's first inner city harbor, according to the report.
The tower will have four individual towers within a single structure. A distinctive crescent-shaped podium will encircle its base.
Mahatba.Net reports that situated in the center of the emirate of Dubai on the highway linking Dubai and the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, the Harbor & Tower will cover an area of more than 270 hectares and become home to more than 55,000 people and a workplace for 45,000 more.
