Reverend Peter Mullen wrote: "Let us make it obligatory for homosexuals to have their backsides tattooed with the slogan SODOMY CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH and their chins with FELLATIO KILLS."
He described the comments as "light-hearted jokes". However, he has been told to remove the comments by the Diocese of London, which said his comments were "highly offensive" and did not reflect its views.
"I certainly have nothing against homosexuals," he told London's Evening Standard newspaper. "Many of my dear friends have been and are of that persuasion.
