Human Resources: 17 million unemployed in in the Arab world

According to Mohamed bin Yussef, chief of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization, there are now 17 million unemployed people in the Arab world; 25 percent of whom are youth.

However, he told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the figure is predicted to shoot up to 25 million and 80 million by 2010 and 2020 respectively.
